Choose Your Lucent Lenses
Your frame sets the look. Your lens choice completes the pair.
Lucent Optical offers single vision prescription lenses. Use this guide to compare Basic, Comfort, and Apex, then review the options and prices available for your chosen frame in Select Lenses.

Compare the lens packages
The details below reflect our current package listings. Availability and suitability depend on your frame and prescription. Review the complete package description in the selector before choosing.
| Package | Listed index | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | 1.5 | Our everyday starting option. Check the selector for its included features and current lens price. |
| Comfort | 1.5 | Listed with anti-reflective coating and a water-repellent finish. Compare the full feature list with Basic. |
| Apex | 1.67 | A high-index option, listed with anti-reflective coating and an anti-static finish. Ask about suitability for your prescription and frame. |
Looking for Optimum? Optimum remains part of our lens lineup but is temporarily out of stock. Contact us about availability; do not select a different package solely to work around an unavailable option without checking suitability.
What does lens index mean?
Index describes how a lens material bends light. A higher index can allow a thinner lens for the same prescription, but the finished result also depends on the frame, prescription, and lens design. A higher number is not automatically the best choice for every pair, and we do not promise a fixed percentage reduction in thickness.
For general background, see ZEISS's explanation of lens materials and index. This is educational information, not a statement that Lucent's packages are ZEISS products.
Compare the complete-pair price
The frame price and lens price are separate. Select a frame, color, and size, then open Select Lenses to see the current lens-package price. Optional upgrades can change your total. Review the frame, lenses, and upgrades together in the cart; shipping and tax are shown at checkout.
Before choosing an upgrade, ask: does it address something I need, is it available for my prescription, and what does it add to the complete-pair total? You do not need to choose the most expensive option by default.
Have your prescription details ready
Use your current eyeglass prescription and pupillary distance (PD). Enter details exactly as supplied or use the prescription-upload option offered in the selector. If a value is missing, unclear, or not accepted, stop and ask for help rather than guessing or substituting a value.
Frame-size markings are not PD measurements. Our frame-size guide explains the difference. For prescription questions or which lens type you need, consult your eye-care professional. Lucent currently offers single vision prescription packages, not progressive or bifocal packages.
A few questions before you choose
Are prescription lenses included in the frame price?
No. Lens-package prices are separate and shown during selection. Review the combined total before checkout.
Can I compare packages without buying a frame first?
Yes. Choose a frame to explore its lens options before completing your order. Review availability and pricing for that exact selection.
What about blue-light options?
Review the specific option offered for your chosen frame. A coating or filter is not the same thing as a prescription. Our lens-coatings guide explains the distinctions and the limits of the evidence.
Can I return a prescription-lens order?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery, including prescription lenses. Prepaid labels are available for eligible US returns. Authorization and policy conditions apply; read the return policy.
