How to Buy Your First Prescription Glasses Online

Your first pair of prescription glasses can be more than something to check off a list. It can be the detail that pulls your everyday look together. Start with the style you want to wear, then use a few practical checks to make the choice yours.

Find a frame you can picture in your day

Explore the shapes and colors you enjoy in your wardrobe. Square frames bring definition. Round frames offer a softer outline. Cat-eye glasses add an expressive sweep. Shortlist a familiar style and one that makes you curious.

Explore three shoppable looks in The Lucent Edit.

Compare the exact measurements

If you already have glasses that fit well, use their lens width, bridge width, and temple length as a starting point. Check those measurements against the exact frame size you are considering. Virtual try-on, where available, helps with the look; it does not confirm physical fit.

Learn what the numbers inside your frames mean. Frame dimensions are not your PD.

Have your prescription details ready

Use your current prescription and pupillary distance (PD) information. Enter the details exactly as provided, or use the prescription upload option. If a detail is missing or unfamiliar, ask your prescriber or contact us before completing the selection.

Choose from the available single vision lenses

Lucent Optical currently offers single vision prescription lenses. Open the lens selector to review the packages and options available for your frame and prescription. Optimum is temporarily out of stock.

Compare Basic, Comfort, and Apex in our lens guide, then confirm suitability, features, and current pricing for your selection.

Review your pair before checkout

Confirm the frame, color, size, prescription, and lens choices. Frames and lenses are priced separately; shipping and tax are shown at checkout. Check the current shipping and return policies as part of your decision.

Can I return prescription glasses?

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery, including prescription lenses. Prepaid labels are available for eligible US returns, and eligible refunds go to the original payment method. Authorization and policy conditions apply. Read our return policy and shipping information before ordering.
